Wolf River · 20 Acres Reopened

The work

Twenty acres of hunting land on the Wolf River in Pearl River County, heavily damaged by the flooding that came through in the summer of 2026. The water tore up the existing access roads and trails badly enough that most of the property had gone unreachable. A man can own twenty acres and still only get to three of them.

We were fortunate to get the opportunity on this one. The front of the property got opened up with forestry mulching, then we went after the roads with major restructuring and recovery work and installed the drainage the tract needed to keep it from washing out again. The last piece was the walking trail down to the water, barely navigable when we got there, now wide and solid enough to run a side by side or a Jeep all the way to the riverbank. No more hand-carrying all the camping goodies down to the river. Four days on site with the ASV RT-135F and the Hitachi ZX75US.

Flood-damaged and mostly unreachable when we started. Now a secluded twenty acres that works as a summer river retreat and a winter hunting haven, fully accessible end to end. The owner has since named the place Wolf River Haven.
